Hey guys....

I'm new here and just bought a '79 Surfside over the weekend and was out working on it tonight and seen a bit of a sag in the roof. If I push my head up on the spot from the inside it "pops" right up. I did a search on the forum and found some great info on how to fix it (using cardboard tubes and fiberglass). However I've never really worked with fiberglass and not sure if I would want to try this alone. Just wondering if anyone in the Calgary area have fixed this problem with theirs and would like to lend a hand over a few beers and pizza. Below is a pic but not a good one do to the dark and another from the day I bought it (you can see how the roof vent is sloping to the middle.....I'll try to get a better pic tomorrow.

thanks in advance

Hi Kent,

With that particular type of sag and the roof vent location, my opinion would be to consider glassing in some plywood supports from the inside rather than the tubes on the outside. Could be wrong, just my 2 cents Good luck with your fix and let us know how it goes!
