Question Scamp 2-piece jalousie windows - 1976

I have a '76 Scamp 13' with these two-piece jalousie windows. They work fine but I'm thinking that when I pull it down the road in the rain that the windows will leak. There are no leaks when it's sitting still and this is Oregon so they've been well tested.

Does anyone know what seals might be neede around the glass on these windows?

I just donated some money to this website. It's been an irreplaceable help to me in restoring this trailer. We all should I think!

Thank you!

Mike I have a 77, same windows never had it leak in via the way you described and I've driven in some substantial rainy conditions.

And your windows have no seals along the edges of the glass? Thank you for your response.

Hi Mike, from another Oregonian! For repair parts for your WONDERFUL jalousie windows, check out: Vintage Trailer Supply Slider windows aren't necessarily leak-free either. Both types of windows have maintenance issues.

Mike, I also have a 19776 Scamp and it's almost done. I conpletely restored the windows, which look the same as yours. Here is the link that I have all the parts and cost of what I did. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ows-41003.html

On the top side of the top luvre there is this crusty grey flap that was likly a drip edge of sorts to keep the rain up and over but nothing by way of the side to keep rain out per say. The windows shut tight and I drive fast so maybe that helps. Drive around see if water gets in then you'll know.
