Scamp 2011 - furnace fan not turning on

I used to regularly use my Scamp's furnace. As soon as I'd push up the temperature, the fan would immediately start. After not using my Scamp for sometime, the fan is no longer turning on at all when I push up the temperature and I have no idea why. Does anyone have any ideas?

Could it be a dead battery? The lights work fine - maybe the fan requires more power than the lights? Is all I need to do to charge the battery plug it into 120V, or do I need to turn on either the 12V or 120V power switch?

Somebody recommended I replace the start/run capacitor - does that sound correct / does anyone know how to do that?

Check the fuses. The 12 volt DC blower motor has no start capacitor.

Could be as simple as a corroded contact on the thermostat. If you have a voltmeter you can check to confirm what voltage is on one side of the thermostat, and then check to confirm that voltage is also available on the other side of the contact when you turn it on.
