Cool Scamp & Casita owners, Where did you put your TV?

Hi,
We own a 16' Scamp and are trying to sort out the best place to mount a TV. The trailer came with an antenna with the hand crank above the dining table. What have others done? How large a TV. Where and how did you mount it? I have some thoughts but would like to be aware of options.

George

I have a 16' Scamp that I mounted a 19" flat screen in the rear corner. I take it down when traveling. The DVD player is inside the overhead bin.

When I got my Scamp 13 the last owner had a TV mounted on the side of the dresser/cabinet next to the entry door. Seems to be a good location for it as you can watch it whilst sitting the dinette with the table up, or sitting/slouching against the back window with the bed set up.

But I took it out anyway since we're not big on TV watching whilst camping.

We bought a Coby HDTV/AM/FM/DVD/CD under-cabinet unit. Designed for home kitchen use, it has a 12VDC "wall-wort" adapter that made it very easy to wire it into our trailer's 12V system. Coby sells this unit in a variety of screen sizes, seven to fifteen inches.

We don't watch TV much when we're out with out trailer, so the 10" screen version works just fine for us, and it draws under 2 amps when we're using the DVD/HDTV combo and even less any other time, so it doesn't tax our solar-powered electrical system.

I setup a nylon strap and buckle system that holds the screen in its stowed position while we're towing.

We're trying to install a tv in our SD, any tips on which tv flip mount to get? I would like one that folds away with the tv still attached or is it best to remove the tv when driving?

12 year old thread... TVs? Ambient light tolerant HD projection technology exists now... Soda canned sized Nebula HD Projector, 40" projection screen inside Casita and 90" projection screen outside in our Clam Pavilion tent when doing long duration dry glamping in remote locations. Unlimited program streaming via Starlink Internet Wi-Fi and Fire Stick. Photos being worth a 1000 words...and more photos and details may be found in our Casita modification writeup by Googling our trailer name if interested.

Amazon says this is the one that I installed 8 years ago. It's under the cabinet (reinforced) and I added a safety strap to hold it up for bouncy roads when I travel.
