Scamp Bunk Fix ?

I have a 96 Scamp 13 with the bunks in the front, does anyone have something to keep a child from falling off the top bunk ? I may not ever use it but my grandson and his friend are going camping with us over the 4th. So I thought if there is something easy to make I just might do it, just in case we do use the bunks. We may bring a tent for the boys, but I'd still like to know what others do. Thanks,Tim

I use a 2x2 as a bed rail in our Boler.

I drilled two 1/2" holes in the bottom of the 2x2 and hammered in two 6" bits of 1/2" copper pipe that I had laying around. Two small screws stop the copper pipe from wiggling out. I wrapped the ends of the pipe with black tape to reduce the rattling as my son moves a lot when he's sleeping.

Ahhhh, a picture is worth a thousand words, thanks for that Mark. I would have to add on to my pipes as they aren't as high as yours. But I get the idea anyway. Tim
