Hi guys/gals, I'm starting work on the 1
scamp I picked up last week. First order of business is repairing the entry door.
Initially I thought I just had to reglass where the door hinge broke out, but upon further inspection inside panel had cracked just under the window which was the cause of my lower door gap.
I propped the door up last night at what I thought was the correct curve and fiberglassed the two cracks after removing the window.
I put the door up against the trailer today and it looks like I may have overdone the curve a tiny bit (there is a very slight bow in fitment where I recurved it. Should I let it slide to cut the glass and try again? I have no idea how someone would judge how much to curve it with no possible way to reference-I'm thinking it might suck up real close when the door is actually latched.
I'd love to hear from anyone else hat has had to rebuild a door.
