Scamp stabilizer stuck

We have a brand-new 13 foot Scamp. The first time we used it one of the telescoping stabilizers wouldn't slide back in all the way when we got ready to leave. One of them had no problem but one of them only slid back in about half way. I could get it up but not enough that I could feel comfortable that it is working properly. I tried spraying it with lubricant and I tried hitting it with a hammer (not too hard) but I can't get that thing to slide back up in there. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Reino, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your NEW scamp. Since your Scamp is new, I would call Scamp and let them know of your problems with the stabilizer. They probably will send you a new one since it is still under warrantee.

most likely it did not retract all the way.
Drop it down again, step on the lever, then push the foot all the way in.
Then pull the main body out and swing it into place.
it should click all the way in horizontally.

Sorry if I have been too elementary, but that's always the best place to start.
