I have new front and rear window seals to install. Got a couple of questions.
1. What is the best adhesive to join the ends of the seal together?
2. Better to have the join at the top or bottom of the window?
3. Any additional sealer used or just installed dry.

Go to You Tube, There is a very good video clip on installing new window seals. Search "Boler Window". The seal ends joins at the bottom center, I use black silicone as a sealer for the gap.

Here's a post with links to the videos Eddie was talking about, also a link to tool you're going to need to put in the lock strip... although you can get the tool a number of places:

I'd use the black caulk made for windshields for the gap. It's got a UV protectant in it too.

I installed mine dry and have had no problems. Don't cut the beading too short. Leave enough so there is some pressure on the two strips when they are pressed together.

Thanks everyone.

Just what I was looking for. Glad I asked. I was going to try and install like a windshield seal. Pretty sure now that would not have worked too well!

Oliver,
You're in for a real treat, so just be patient.
You should definitely get the lockstrip tool and they're not always easy to find. I used dishwashing soap to help make it a bit easier. Take your time and take a lot of breaks. My second window took half the time of the first one as you start to get the hang of it. I agree with Donna and used the windshield black caulk, wouldn't use silicone anywhere on these trailers.

Ordered the tool yesterday. Thanks for the link donna. One thing I wanted to mention. That place charged me $11 in shipping which I think was a little steep. Might be available with less shipping from somewhere else
