When we restored our
Boler interior, the inside had some of the original tape clinging on for dear life, some was glued in place and a lot was gone. After long and careful thought and weeks searching the net, we pulled the remaining tape off and carefully glued the elephant skin back where it had started to come loose. We then filled the gap with a flexible caulk and smoothed it to blend into the skin. 5 years later and 5 winters of sub-zero weather, I will have to do some minor touch-ups where the skin has pulled away from the caulk [the caulk did not move]
