I used two sided foam mounting tape and covered the exposed side with
____________ I forget, it was 12 years ago. Some of it needs replaceing but has seen TONS of service.
I used a common house hold product like starch or baking soda. I'm sure someone here knows for sure.
Seems to me I did it this way cause boler did it this way at the factory.
Happy to hear your cleaning your Ensolite!
There are a lot of different products that work well and everybody has their fav.
I have cleaned ours often and what works best for me is to use a spray bottle to apply a soap mix, a firm bristle brush to scrub it, then spray it with water sopping up the residue with dry towels and allow to air dry.

Yes I understand the factory used talc or talcum powder on the exposed side of the 2 sided tape they used on the seams.

If you don't need to paint, that is the ensulite cleans up which it should I would use seam tape. But if you decide to paint use a paintable latex caulking, the seam tape will come off eventually and need to be reapplied whereas caulking should last forever.
