We're having trouble finding seat covers for our '03 Ford Ranger that will fit the 60/40 Split Bench Seats well. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

hummm, JC Whitney I'm sitting here looking at a catalog that's about a year old. You can order just about any front seat cover in 24 different configurations. I'd suggest picking up a catalog.

You might also try: LMC Truck. Even tho their website doesn't show anything that new, it may be worth a phone call to their 800 numbers.

Any auto parts store can special order too if you find something locally that you like but the store doesn't have that particular configuration in stock..NAPA, Schucks, Thrifty Auto, etc.

And lastly have you tried a Ford dealer??

If I ran across one of those beasts in the road, I would need new seat covers too!

Choosing the correct cover can be very confusing and there are hundreds of choices starting at $269.99 for Okole Custom-Fit Neoprene Seat Covers. If you need help, call Cabela's at 1(800) 237-4444
http://www.cabelas.com

Try this for low prices: http://stores.ebay.com/Exact-Fit-Seat-Covers
For $35.00 you can afford to take a chance.

http://www.brandsport.com/ in Eugene, OR. They are a mega dealership selling Ford, Toyota and other brands. I saved more than a hundred dollars on the genuine Toyota tonneau cover. Currently running specials on seat covers. Phone: (541) 341-6555

We swung past GI Joe's big store this weekend and scored a plain gray tweed looking seat cover set made for the Ranger's 60/40 split seats. They'll order a set for you if they're out-of-stock.

Peter - thanks for the tip re. GI Joes. It's hard to believe that it's been a year since we first posted this topic; time really flies! It also shows what procrastinators we are, since we're still looking for a good set of seat covers... Does the set you bought fit well?

Jeanne And Steve,
Nice shot of the over-sized "pet". Did you get any of the whole herd of other assorted ones in the woods behind the shop?
Why is it that many of us procrastinate about replacing seat covers? Ann's poor Camry has been sorely in need for at least 6 months and we just keep coming up with more pressing needs for the time and money.

I've found a large beach towel or old wool army blanket works just fine...what's your point?

I'll let you know next weekend; The Ranger we bought is well-used and smells somewhat of cigarette smoke, so I soaked the seats with Febreeze on Sunday and won't be installing the covers until I have daylight time available again this coming weekend.

Not really; it's going back to GI Joes. The seat cover is the right shape, but does not have cut-outs for the seat belt buckler between the console/arm rest and the driver or a hole for the recliner lever, etc, so it just doesn't lay right.

I searched quite a bit before deciding on Marathon covers for my Jeep. They are custom made and the delivery time was a couple of weeks. I talked to them on the phone several times and they also sent me some fabric samples. Installation was very easy and they are holding up great. Also stay in place! I am very happy with them. As I recall they were around $190 delivered. (front seats only.... your mileage may vary)

Anyway, here is the link to their website. http://www.marathonseatcovers.com/

(edited to add a pic of seat covers)

Thanks Jack and CliveAlive for your recommendations. I hadn't considered custom-made seat covers before because of the cost, but I'm beginning to realize that that's probably the only way to really be happy with them. Thanks for the links to the two websites - I'll look into both of them. It really helps to know that you've both been pleased with these companies!
