Trailer: 75 Boler
Posts: 72
As you may have read, I'm looking for new cushions for my Boler. I'd like to see if the Scamp cushions would fit it and thus avaid reupholstery work. The Scamp parts center sells all the covers for about $250 but before I pull the trigger I just want to plop a couple in my trailer for a quick fit check.

Any one care to meet up with me to do this?

Thanks,

Dan

16 foot standard Scamp's should have the same cushion configuration too. Dan come on down to the Northern Oregon Gathering the end of April....you'll have plenty of cushions to try out!

I have the front goucho cushions (the "table" cushions won't fit as the bed is much bigger in this Deluxe), but maybe Portland is a bit far to drive

Thanks Donna, but I want to do this ASAP.

I find it hard to believe there are no Scamps in Seattle ?

I just want to tow my Boler to your house and take the cushions out of yours and see if they fit in mine...I'll buy the coffee.

Anyone......hellloooo....?

Thanks,

Dan

I forgot the name of the Gentleman in Longview. Doesn't he have a Scamp?

My search turns up nothing.

Called Scamp and they gave me the name & number of a new owner in Seattle. I made contact and will bring my Boler over on Tuesday night for a cushion "fit check".

I'll let everyone know if they are compatible....if anyone cares.

Dan

...I'll be sure to tell them about our website.

We ALWAYS care. Some of us just don't get the time to check our favorite site.

I image there is a lot of Boler owners who care as they may want to do the same thing themselves (new upholstery from Scamp) and the rest of us would just like to know

Yes please, tell the Scamp owners about this website. We always have room for one more

Status: Fit check completed on a 16 foot scamp.

Conclusion: it would work in a pinch but it's not pergect. The dinette back cushions are a bit taller and they are hitting the windows and the cranks. They also have the side arm cushions connected to the back rests via a sewn hinge. This is cool but they didn't seem to fit just right.

Additionally, the front couch/gaucho was about a 1/2 inch or so short on both sides. They also were not as wide as the Boler cushions so the fiberglass bench that you sat on was exposed a bit ....isame on the dinette.

Therefore, I will give it one last try with finding some one to sew them up for me. The owner of the Scamp provided a suggestion to call the wholesale fabric store that I forgot about. If that does not work I'll drop the $800 and never look back.

signing out.

Are you in need of just the outer fabric. If so, I just refit all of my cushions and have the original (blue/brown plad) fabric with good zippers just sitting in my garage. It's in good shape, no smell, nice and clean. I made the change because I wanted to change the color to match my neat curtains. Let me know if you are interested. The picture below is not from my Scamp, but the material is exactly the same.
