We have a 13 ft Boler. We live in BC Canada and do most
of our camping here. We love the beautiful parks that are
around about every corner!
BUT I GOTTA HAVE A SHOWER!
My plan is to get a Coleman hot water on demand.
Attach a Hulla Hoop to the closet and the overhead cupboard
to hold 2 cheap shower curtains
and mount the shower head to the roof screen knob.
Use the Rubbermaid container that holds gear when we're are
on the road to stand in, and put a drain in it to the portable gray tank that also holds the sink gray water.
My question : Does the Coleman Hot Water On Demand
do a good job?
Thanks in advance for your imput.
Fred

One of the shower room tents at Wally is only like $30-$34.
Seems like it might be less trouble and more usable.

And I like the idea of showering inside, where it is warm

That sounds like an awful lot of moisture inside the trailer even if you can contain it. How about this?

I did exactly what you are planning in my 13. I had hooks on the walls for the curtain, and used a coleman shower pump and a pan of hot water.. otherwise, identical.

Splashing and spillage is non existent if it's set up correctly. It does add water vapor, so you have to be aware if you have rat fur walls. With a burro, it was a non issue. I just wiped the walls down if it was a problem.

I didn't drain into anywhere, I just picked up the tub and dumped it by hand.

My thoughts are the same as yours. I have already purchased the coleman heater and I am presently working on a curtain holder made with cpvc pipe( can be disassembled). Plan to also make it mountable outside in some fashion( not sure how yet) for trips to wilderness areas. Certainly will use the inside method when temps cold and for campground privacy (eg. Walmart camping). Have thought about using a cooler as my storage/ stand in container(has drain built in); also could be the back-up for fridge when the temps rise to extremes. Have thought about moisture problems- will be installing a maxx fan in the future. As far as your question is concerned- I am happy with the trial( nice warm water).

Try this.
1. Run hose from water tank drain to purchased 12v boat water pump
2. Hose from pump to rear bumper
3. Drill hole in pumper and install quick realeas hose attachement
4. Travel with coiled hose with adjustable nozel

This works PERFECTLY for our needs. No, its not a hot shower, but hey, you're camping!
