Both will fit the snap caps. The difference is the hole size that fits your screws or pop rivets.

FB have a 3/32" hole.
FBA have a 5/32" hole.

Casita uses 5/32" rivets so I order FAB.

If I replace the bases I assume I will have to replace the rivet itself?

What if my rivets are fine, no leaks and it is just the caps looking a bit worn? Can I JUST replace the caps on the existing bases?

Of course you can just replace the caps before the bases go bad.
I've seen new bases carefully put on over existing rivets too.
Most of the time when bases are replaced is because the rivet breaks.

I don't need no snap caps for FankenScamp, no rivets left anywhere.
5 years with Stainless screws, thousands of miles. Never inside no leaks, no cracked fiberglass, but nothing stock either.

THAT is a SUPER "report" RB! I've caught flak (not that it made any difference ) because I used (2) 10-32 S/S screws/locknuts on my Scamp's closet to secure it when the alum. rivets gave way and caused internal leaks! I was told how my Scamp was going to crack, yada yada.... yawnnn... and after several thousand miles and years, it still looks the same and is still "tight"..and NO side affects on the shell!

I feel the closet contributes to some stability while traveling (especially with my A/C on top!) and feel that with the added stability, it may prevent other problems from other areas in the future.

Hearing from you NO rivets??? YEAH!!! For once, I sense a real Fiberglass RV "HERO" here . Thanks for your "bravery" to post an "anti-rivet" post!!! Never liked them never will regardless of the "purists" posts.
