I was wondering where some Lil Snoozy owners mount or store the spare tire? We're going to be ordering soon and wanted to know what other owners have done. Thank you!
Congratulations on your new Snoozy. I had a friend fabricate a spare tire carrier that was welded to the frame, and does not involve the body. The factory has a mount that bolts to the frame and through the body wall in the kitchen area. Contact a fabricator/welder in your area to see what it would cost. Some people carry their spare in the shower, while others carry it on the tongue or in the tow vehicle.

Hey Dave, now that your spare mount has been on for a while and has seen a lot of miles, how has it held up? Any cracks or movement from when it was first installed?
HI David! Thank you for your input! We don't have our Snoozy just yet! Hope to order it next week. Just was wondering how others were mounting/storing the spare before we order!
We carry ours in the tow vehicle. The newer models with leaf springs are higher off the ground. I bet you could get the factory to mount it under the floor.

No problems whats so ever after over 40,000 miles. I even stand on the spare tire while cleaning/waxing the roof. The tubing is .120" wall DOM (drawn over mandrel steel tubing).

The only tire problem I've had in 9 years of towing was a tread totally separating from the tire. Fix A Flat would have been useless in that case. I was glad I had a regular spare "in the middle of nowhere" and 300 miles from home.
