Stabilizing Jacks...

Just as the thread states...?

We all know these thinga are a little bouncy but want to make it more firm whil camping. Do these jacks just stop the back end from tipping up or am I supposed to adjust them until some of the weight is off the springs?

Kurt, your trailer shouldn't 'bounce' when the stabilizers are deployed. Presuming you have the standard spring-loaded rear-bumper mounted stabilizers... Probably the easiest way is to lower the tongue jack a little once the trailer is level front-to-rear and side-to-side, and then deploy the rear stabilizer jacks to the ground. Then raise the tongue back to level which places weight on the stabilizers. The tongue jack will get tight quickly, and I usually give it another half-turn or so after it gets stiff. That puts sufficient weight on the stabilizers and the tongue to keep the trailer from 'bouncing'. If you want a really solid 'feel' and have front jack stands, then after deploying the rears and snugging them up with the tongue jack, deploy the jack stands and snug them up under the front frame.

You need to make the "foundation" or support solid. You do not need to lift the trailer off of the tires.

My Fiber Stream has a frighteningly light frame, that flexes probably more than your Boler does. I adjust the support jacks until my sagging door frame trues up again.
