Sorry for the second request, but I am getting desperate... I have sanded off lthe entire tongue of the Play pac, and still no VIN#. I crawled all under it, but only found the metal tag on the axle with the number for it. I do not know how many numbers and or letters are in the VIN but if someone could tell me that much, maybe I could find the number somewhere on it. Thank you very much for reading this, and I hope someone will get tired of me nagging and tell me something. Ha.. Thanks in advance. James (Mac).
I have no experience with Playpac, but I had a couple of different makes that only had VIN
information on a paper which was glued to the inside of the closet door. this can be a real problem when remodeling.
Perhaps , if you have a title
with the vin# on it you could buy a set of welding stamps and stamp the # on the frame.
I once built a 1929 Model "A" for which I built a new chassis, which made it necessary to stamp the new frame with the original VIN#. The DMV found it acceptable but that was some time ago.
Of course ,on many fiberglass trailers welder's stamp would be authentic anyway.
