Storage hatch covers

I need to replace the 23 year old storage hatch covers in my Burro. I was wondering what some of you have used for this. Sure theres plywood or partical board but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.

There is a material they sell at Marine stores called"Superwood" go figure?

It is a Poly type material for boat applications but is very pricey.

I have been using Poly cutting boards lately.
They are cheaper than Superwood and widely available in different thicknesses.
They seem resistant to any rot and are strong and easily worked with.

At Sams Club they sell a huge Rubbermaid one for $10.00 and it is white already.

I really like it for panel replacements.

We've seen replacements made out of diamond plate, acrylic mirror, wallpaper covered fiberboard, painted with chalkboard paint, picture frames modified to fit, etc. It's an area that you can really put your creativity to use. No real need to get something from the "factory."
