Tacoma people: kind of step bar or running bars do you have?

i am really short of money and i dont care one bit what it looks like i just need it to work. its mostly always just me and the 9lb dog. most people can just step in...but im 5' with artificial knees and i cant.

i wish i could just find one of the steps...not the whole bar...i do have a guy that will weld it if he has to...

300-600 seems so much right now...i dont need 2...why do they make me buy 2?

i didnt actually buy the truck yet...but i'm close and need to know what i am getting into

thx

Check with your local auto wrecking yards. They may be a set on a wrecked Tacoma at a much lower cost than buying new.

JC Whitney sells a single side step for around $80. I only took a quick look so there may be others. I've bought a few items from them recently with no problem. Sometimes they offer free shipping.

If you haven't bought the truck yet, have the dealer install it on as part of the deal !!

$65.00 including shipping will buy you a pair of these, which bolt on. They're available specific to the vehicle- just enter make, model, and year at the order page.

Here's the link: truck steps

I think this is the best answer. Many times an option will get thrown in to finalize the deal. Good thinking Jim.

no-couldnt get them to give them to me.

i found this:

2012 Toyota Tacoma Carr Hoop II Truck Steps | Truck Hoop Steps From Carr | Shop Now

but they come in 2012 not 2013 so not sure

and this:

WP Warrior Products Warrior Products Universal Side Steps - JCWhitney

which do you think? truck is white with a lot of back and chrome too i guess...

ps-thax for pointing me in the right direction...i like the junk yard idea too...but this price is fine and easier than tracking them down and getting them off

When I did the eBay search I included "Tacoma", but the description in your link says "fits most trucks", so maybe they are universal fit.

there is only one above that is for sure for my truck -they needed to know it was 2013 Tacoma Pre-Runner

it seems important ... i can show it to the guys but if one is made for the truck i know that will be cheaper in the long run...thax tho...i'm also freaking out about having to learn ebay. i'm old. too much new learning these last weeks.
