taking stripes off

I've got a bigfoot with stripes that are too worn to keep, any idea how to get them off, I've tried heat and a scraper but am afraid to scratch the surface...thoughts?

I bought the eraser off of amazon. Works amazingly. And easy to use with no mess

Tried other ways first. This is the best

Like $18 plus shipping.

Search on 3M™ Stripe Off Wheel. I think you can maybe get one from an auto store like pep boys or kragen too

Miles be warned that you should measure or trace out your old ones before taking them off so you can have new ones custom made. Bigfoots new ones are different and they will not share the old pattern (or so I am told) so no matter how hard you try to get the shadowing from the old stripes off they will show through if you put their new strips on.

Hi Carol, I don't think these stripes are around any more as they only made 13 on these trailers 25 years ago. These stripes are 25 feet long. I contacted BigFoot and they couldn't find anyone who even remembered them, so I'm out of luck for new ones, I'm thinking of just puting Silver Cloud on with a new patch.

I'm not worried about shadowing as I'm reglazing the whole trailer, hope I'm done before the snow flies.

Not surprised re Bigfoot - that was my understanding of their responses to others inquires on the strips. You may want to check out this thread on the topic prior.... apparently more than one has even tried to sand out the ghosting.
You can pay me back at the next camp out ;-))) for the heads up.... LOL
