Talking Theft prevention

Hi y'all. We've got a 16 ft Scamp. It's been living on private land away from a neighborhood for 17 years. It's being brought to our house next week. We live in a neighborhood and it's going to be stored next to our garage. We're thinking of using a wheel clamp to prevent the Scamp from being hauled off by a thief. Would love to hear from people who have used one, and which one, and if anyone using one of these clamps have had their trailer stolen anyway. THANKS!

That's how we're leaning, too. Any thoughts about style or brand? We've all seen the kind the cops use but any feedback about the "lobster-claw" style?

I'd use the same one you use on your tow vehicle, keyed alike.

Another Approach

I tie my trailer bumper to a tree with really strong UV resistant 1/2" rope tied with the famous " Boy Scouts Hatchet Knot" . So far it has worked really well and my trailer has stayed right where we left it .

You can always remove a wheel.
They sell a lock that you can install on the hitch.
