Tinted door window

Has any one tinted or put obscure film on their door window to eliminate the need for a curtain to provide some privacy but allow light and the ability to look out but not in? The curtain on our Trill came with curtain rods top and bottom to hold it in place but the bottom rod was always in the way and with bottom rod removed the curtain blows around and is a general pain. Any ideas or solutions?

Yes. I tinted all my windows, including the door window. I live in FL and love window tint. Pics in the Registry.

Just remember that if you have a light on inside at night, people can see in better than you can see out. You may still want to have a window covering there.

How about stick on window film that looks like stained glass? If it's too solid, you could cut out a section for a peep hole:

This only works in Daylight, ...when the outside light is stronger than the inside light.
At night when it's dark outside, and you have the inside lights on...

My wife and I are both intrigued by the stained glass look film Donna sent us a link to-may have to give it a try. If it is obscure enough a pattern we shouldn't need a shade or curtain and will still get light . Thanks Donna!

tinted my window with 5% vlt extra dark limo tint, yes with light on in camper you can see in, But you almost have to have your nose pressed against the glass

I've tinted my Scamp windows with 5% tint also. I can't stand a lot of sunlight coming into my trailer and the thought of the curtains I'm making getting sunfaded made me tint all my windows including the door.

I see Reid is in Oregon like me. If he typically camps like I do among the trees, we need all the natural light we can get inside or else it's like camping in a cave.
