towing 1973 Trillium with bellybands removed?

Hi! I own a 1973 Trillium 1300 and was having some bodywork done to it by an older guy.....we have removed all of the belly bands. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, he cannot finish the job including fibreglass work/painting. So my question is:

1/ can i tow the Trillium about 10 kms to a new body/paint guy WITHOUT putting the bellybands back on OR will the upper/lower body shells fall apart?

Thanks for any help and enjoy your trailering!

No problem. They won't fall apart. Keep in mind that the belly band that was removed was just decoration. It did not hold the top to the bottom. A resin soaked fiberglass strip behind the seam (installed when built) holds the top to the bottom.

Only thing to be concerned about is possibly some water getting in, so you might want to tarp the trailer or put it inside.

Trillium Belly Band End Trim?

Hello,

I took the belly band off and am reistalling it.

Unfortunately, one the the end trim pieces of the belly band
is missing. I wonder if you saved yours and if I might buy
one or two from you?

Thank You,

Uncle Larry
