Towing Mirrors

Greetings! I am researching towing mirrors now... I have a 2004 Highlander and will be towing my 'Gem', Scamp 16.

What type of towing mirrors has everyone found to be the best?

I have the Aero mirrors for my Rav but have not used them yet, I have a pair of round inset mirrors that i use, i do not need the Aero mirrors, i see just fine without. Carl

I bought these which are very good if not the best available. I got them before I got my Scamp 16 and put them on my Van but found they help but are not really needed. Assuming that by "will be towing" you mean that you have not yet been towing it, then unless required by statute you might want to wait and see if you think they are needed.

I have CIPA custom fit towing mirrors which look and behave as OEM.
I am most impressed with the fact that they are as steady as the stock mirrors on which they mount. If they have a listing for your TV ...GET'EM!

I have the Tow-N-See. They are good.
You can get them flat or convex, get BOTH convex.

On the Highlander you can stick them on the bottom or edge of the HL mirror, and you still have a good portion of the mirror that's usable. You can adjust the HL mirror accordingly without really affecting the Tow-N-See's adjustment if they are convex.

They don't shake, I've never lost one, the only thing is occasionally large vehicles going the opposite direction sometimes create a big air draft that tends to push on the Tow-N-See and mess the HL's mirror adjustment. Not a big issue, but due to this I would look at Milenco's. Otherwise the Tow-N-See are good.

What I like about the Milenco is that the attachment points do not cover any part of the OEM mirror and that the vehicle mirror can be adjusted independent of the Milenco.
I keep my old Tow-N-See as spare.

Like Glenn, I use Milenco mirrors to see around my 8' wide Bigfoot. I'm not sure why but Milenco now seems to be sold in the US under the name of "JR Products".

We had Tow-n-See. One of the mirrors fell out and broke eventually.

Now we have mirrors from U-Haul with straps that hold them to the main mirrors more securely.
