Unhappy Track For Flooring

Hi Everyone, I am BRAND NEW to this world, so please bear with me. I bought a trailer back in 10/2023. We have not been able to figure out the make and model. After researching I have concluded that someone bought the fiberglass shell and made it a utility trailer. It resembles a Boler or a Scamp but it is not.

We have removed the floor as you will be able to see in the pictures and I took the frame to be repaired. What I am left with is a 7'X9' Shell and at the base of the shell there is what appears to be a track of sorts that the flooring fit into. much of it is damaged and I am going to have to repair it, however, I need some tutorials and I am not sure what the track is called or the process is called and I am just looking for some guidence on where I can educate myself.

Thanks, Any help is appreciated!

Hi There!

This "track" in not actually a track. When they made these they fiberglasses the floor to the shell. Not the whole floor, just the edges.

On mine, when I get there, what I plan to do is cut this back to the shell, install the floor and then re-fiberglass the seams. Easier said than done ;P

Flooring

I know you said it wasn't a Boler but I would look at Boler frames to get an idea to make your trailer more user friendly. The Bolers had a dropped floor in the kitchen portion of the trailer, if you are over 6 ft tall it isn't dropped enough. Somewhere on this site there are pictures of a Boler frame showing the drop. Either fiberglass plywood or buy it to make it last.

Marine grade plywood is also a good option.
