Trillium 4500 fridge swap

Hi everybody,
New owner of 1976 4500 deluxe here.
Unfortunately fridge doesn’t work and I’m thinking of
new/used, but no idea how I can move it out/in,
through the door ? No way.
Advise please.

Robert, I suspect that your Trillium is a 1978, and your fridge is an RM36. While this is a larger model, it does fit throug the door.

To confirm the year of your trailer compare your serial number to this list:

Please post more pictures of your trailer.

78 Trillium 4500

We have one but can't get the model number as the refrigerator has no label. I see you're changing out yours. Do you know manufacturer and model of the one removed and what are you replacing it with? Does it not work on 120V or gas?

If you got a moment would appreciate a response.

Hi Gregg,
I did replaced with bar fridge (110v only).
Original one was garbage in and out.
We are not using propane in our trailer, basically 4 person sleeping quarter

The fridges that fit are an RM36, (small freezer) and an RM360, (larger freezer). Neither requires any electrical power if they are running on propane.

I replaced mine with one of these.

It was a tiny bit smaller than the hole of the unit it replaced so some wood frame had to be added.

I have a 100W solar panel and a 100Ah Lead acid battery and it seemed to work fine for my weekend camping.

If you were doing more long term camping (ie not charging the battery and/or running the fridge off off the tow vehicle power every few days), and it was cloudy for a number of days in a row it wouldn't be enough to keep the fridge running though.

I'll be upgrading my power storage a bit for this upcoming season but the fridge itself is very nice and draws little power. About 250-350 watts for 24 hours depending on season/weather.
