Trillium trim

Don't know what it's called, but it's like trim that covers seams along the inside of the trillium. It's all wrinkled and bunched up. Is this normal and if not any suguestions on how to repair. Again, thanks for your imput. Shelley

Shelley, it's called seam tape and it appears what you are experiencing is fairly common. Some owners have carefully pulled the tape off, put it in a pan of hot water and reapplied (with caulk) by stretching it carefully. A Trillium owner should probably give you step-by-step instructions.

Others, have removed the seam tape completely and filled the gap with caulk. Using a damp, scrunched up paper towel you could then apply "texture." Others just smoothed the caulk completely.

Trilliums have their interior seams covered with a t-molding that can shrink over time. Usually it can be heated / stretched and snapped back into its track. Check to see if the track needs to be reglued in place.

If you have the T-molding type that Chris suggested. If you have wrinkling, chances are, you will see a peice of track at the end of one of your pieces of trim.

Some owners have found that by removing the offending piece (gently pull it out of the track from one end) and putting it into a bucket or sink of hot water and then reinstalling the trim you can get rid of the wrinkles.

And yes, this is normal.

If it's a small area, a hair drier may work.
