Good luck! Uhaul threw those in away to keep renters more responsible about checking tires. The remnant ones appear on ebay periodically. You might need to get substitute hubs and wait for those occasional original ones. You may need to buy one at a time.

They do not fit the new Uhaul rims that people like us bought for our campers.

Randy, I think some people have had luck with Hup Cap Mike, though the caps won't have the UHaul logo.

eBay Baby Moons for UHaul Rims

Mr. Randy,
It has been awhile but as I recall the baby moons on this link are what I bought to fit my UHaul's original rims. I wanted stainless steel but can not find any of the correct size. These have good chrome but I believe they will rust if not maintained like so many things of cheaper quality. I thought of clear coating them but have not done that as yet.

Check your rim nubs circle diameter and it should be close to the 7 1/2 " diameter that these fit. Be advised these are a very tight fit, make sure any built up paint on the original rim nubs is removed and only put pressure along outside edge of hubcap (I used block of wood w/hammer) or they will dent easily...

If anyone finds a stainless steel version I'll be an even happier camper!

I bought 3 hubcaps from that eBay listing last week! Speedy delivery, very nice price. I too was hoping to find stainless, but no luck in that size. What can I do before I put them on to help protect the finish?

Sold out right now so I'll have to wait....You might try the RedMax finish some of us are using on our campers..I started the thread and now I'm in the process of stripping it off to recoat it..After nearly 2 years and no refreshing because I wanted to see just how long it would last its time to strip and redo...The stuff was really tuff and I think it would work on these if not its not that hard to remove with the stripper that you can buy ...Just a thought..

My intention was clear poly or clear imron (my favorite) but spraying the inside with some lube like PB Blaster and some wax, even Red Max, on the exterior chrome would surely help them to weather the elements better. I thought of putting UHaul back on them with siver vinyl letters and then
clear coating but then came to my senses!

More info on these caps

Older thread about the 7 1/2 " Baby Moons

http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...aul-43597.html

I did not have to modify the caps but did really clean and lube the rim nubs, then popped them on with sharp hammer blows spread over the outside edge of the cap by a block of wood. Be careful, they do dent easy ( I ruined one! )

Randy,
Thanks for starting and sharing on how the Red Max 3 worked for you thread! I've been following that and I definitely want to apply that to my rig so I can join your fan club!

I have been unable to find Red Max 3 or Zep 3 at one Lowes and a Home Depot, near where I live, but will keep looking. I have a few small gel coat
repairs to make before I apply it.
