The amount the door opens depends on the location of the hinges. If you locate the hinges at roughly the 1/3 and 2/3 measurements of the door it will open 180 deg. On my boler the door is about 63 inches high. I mounted my hinges at 21 inches and 42 inches from the top of the door and it opens flush with the belly band.
