I just received received these prices from Scamp a few minutes ago. I'm guessing that the 18x24 is about as close as it gets to the U-Haul side windows. Really wanted crank outs, but at least there is another option.

The last two times I spoke with Scamp they did have the crank out (jalousie) windows available - and in the 18 x 24 size too. They were $10 or $15 more than the sliders. At one point in time I had a U-haul, and had I kept it I would have installed those jalousies from Scamp in the sides.

Scamp had a crating fee for the windows, but said they could fit two windows in one box (crate).

You don't really need to go to Scamp to buy windows, They use Hehr, but there are others. Here's a site that may help....

Hehr windows, Atwood windows, MRP windows, RV windows, Kinro windows, Kinro parts, Creation windows, Creation window parts

I understand that, but when I shopped around, Scamp's prices were by FAR the best. I mean by hundreds per window. I guess this is probably because they buy them in bulk and only stock limited sizes; however, one of the sizes was what I wanted (13-er dinette), so that was not a problem.

Now, there may be places I did not know about who can compete with Scamp's prices, but I'm just letting you know why I would have selected the Scamp ones.

Never done a window, how would we make up that 1/2 inch difference? Would it be safe enough to just split the difference somehow? Possibly some kind of shim? I'm so new to this I'm just picking everyones brain.
