We considering buying a trillium 1300. I can not find a vin number on the tongue. It may have been painted over and I'd like an idea of where to start looking. Any help is appreciated.
Trillium VINs (actually just a serial number) are found on a large plastic informational sticker located inside the closet door. Same is true for Bolers. Also, David Tilston has created a list of all known Trillium serial numbers. He updates the list as additional serial numbers are posted to his thread by owners. Here is his thread:

I had a Trillium and concur with what you say, unfortunately, doors are often replaced over the years and lost.
If you have a clear title, then take the serial number and stamp it on the tongue using welder's stamps. Sand the area, stamp the numbers, then lightly paint over it with a rattle can.
I want to thank you all for the help! Since there is no evidence of a number or missing plate on the tongue, I will assume it was on the closet door which has been replaced. Along with the last title, there are a couple of older state registration forms and all match. I will check the link and look into having it stamped on the tongue. Thanks again.
