Water In Pipes When Traveling

We have had a 19' Scamp 5th wheel since 2003 and always just disconnect the "city" water & go. Have never had a problem.

Same here. I have always advocated for use of the tank and pump, just run the pump when you need water, and same for the water heater.

The PEX would, but the fittings might not. The fittings are generally plastic compression fittings, not the brass with squeezed compression rings like in a house.

Actually my pump gives higher pressure and flow than the city water regulator on my Scamp.
I think that many parks run higher pressure to make up for too small pipes in their distribution system.
That is OK as long as the water is being used, but when the usage goes down the pressure might go pretty high.
My trailer has only good quality fittings and faucets and PEX tubing everywhere, except going to the fresh water tank and pump.

Consider that my house, built 19 years ago, has PEX with brass fittings.. and three of those fittings have failed in the past 48 months due to aggressive well water. And all the others showed outward signs of corrosion. When we remodeled the bathroom two months ago my plumber used plastic fittings and assured me that they would last much longer than the brass ones.
So I guess it depends on how good the water you get is.
