We need help finding a Microwave!!!

I have been looking for a Microwave for our 16' SD for a while now and thought I had it all set because my mom got us one for Christmas. Well turns out it did not fit. (%$@*&!):weep
We now we are on the hunt again and as you all with 16's know it is hard to find one that fits. So my idea is to see if anyone out there is able to get their hands on one that will fit, I will buy it and pay for shipping.

The dementions I came up with are 12" high by 17 3/4" wide by 14" deep!

If you can find one that fits please e-mail me and if you coule pick it up for me I will pay for shipping and buy it from you.

Thank you!!!

Steve

Steve,

The Samsung MU3050W worked for Eric Mayer in his 16' SD:

Microwave

Steve,

Wal Mart has a Sunbeam 0.6 cu. ft. 600-Watt Microwave Oven Exterior dimensions: 12.75"L x 17.88"W x 11.13"H. It looks like it would be 0.13" larger than your opening. How close are your measurements? The price is only $34.67.

Microwave that fits.......

Steve:

The 'microwave not fitting' problem is usually in a Casita with the small (2 cu ft) fridge as the cabinet above the fridge is narrower than the cabinet with the larger (4 cu ft) fridge. So you need microwave recommendations from the folks with the same size fridge as yours.

Or......

If you're handy, you can remove the trim on the cabinet opening and, with a jigsaw, widen the opening up to 3/4", replace the trim, and still have the door cover it. This allows a lot of microwaves with an 18" width to fit. Mine will pop popcorn for 4 minutes, but you may want to remove the carpeted sides for better cooling. :)

Microwave

Howdy all! Well let's see I did end up going to Wally world and got us a nuker. It fits PERFECT but when I put a peice of 1/4 inch wood on the floor over the carpet it would not fit. Do all of you with microwaves put something over the carpet to protect both the microwave and the carpet?

I was thinking that the microwave should rest on a peice of wood or maybe now lenolium so that it would cover the carpet to protect it and also protect the microwave from the carpet.

I see tha Pinecone just put your microwave in on top of the carpet.

PLEASE send me some feedback on if you put something under your microwave that is hard like wood or something to protect the carpet or not.

IF people just place their microwaves in on top of the carpet then so won't I!

:wave Hi, Steven! We just put our mickeywave on the carpet. Ours is a Sharp, not designed to be built in, has plenty of clearance on top, back, and both sides.

Microwave placement

I have the same unit that PineConeDon illustrates above. I think I paid $43 for it at the Wallymarto in Ennis.

My Casita salesman said to just put it on the carpet. That's where it is now, but I am going to put it on a coupla 1x2"s routed out for the wee feet so it doesn't slide around. I have plenty of room for mine, so I store clingfilm, alumafoil, and wax paper on top.

The issue, I think, is where does it vent and what does it need to breath. Most seem to use the bottom for that and so carpet placement might be a little iffy. That's why, despite my salesman's enthusiasm for carpet, I am going to lift it up a tad and create some breathing room under it.
