What are these rusted posts?

Hi all -- I'm the new owner of a Trillium 1300 (1976) that (after sitting my my ex's backyard for 3 years) is now in a secure storage yard and undergoing road-readyness by me.

Question: what are these rusted posts for? They are 27" long, appear to be capped at the top, and are rusted-to-hell at the bottom.

I suspect they are something exterior -- front or back. Thoughts?

Looks a little like propane tank hold downs, with the end missing.. are they threaded? Where did you find them?

@gordon2 -- not threaded (or at least I can tell ... they are rusted/disintegrated).

Found under the fore/front side bench.

I have seen many Trilliums. I have never seen one with those. I would call them garbage.

Could they be very rusted support legs for bunk beds?

Maybe the wife used them to whop her hubby back in line? Just a thought.

The bunk bed posts on a Trillium are straight. They go between the dimples in the lower bunk to shower curtain brackets on the underside of the upper bunk. The only reason, I can think of, to use curved poles like that would be if one used an upper bunk from a 1300, (with no fold out section) on a 4500. Then the upper and lower ends of the support pole would not line up. I would not consider that a safe arrangement.

They remind me of the upper cabinet supports on a Scamp because of the curved shape. Only they are round instead of twisted flat stock.
