What can I use to trim the edge of stove cutout???

My death seems to be in the details! I could be done with the reno if I knew what I needed and where to get some of this stuff! Please help this poor old gal

We are leaving the cook top out. We have a cutting board that will fit in the hole and be flush with the top of the counter---BUT---what can I get to go around the rough cut edge? It seems like it needs to be an "L" shape to work.

Thanks
Vickie

Lowe's or Home Depot, they will have something, check in the kitchen counter top area.

I did a lot of formica work and before you put in your "L" shape of choice you can clean up that edge of the formica with a simple medium grade file held at a 45 degree angle and only applying pressure on the down stroke..... never on the up stroke as you can chip the formica.....
It may come out so clean that you don't need the "L"

You know that bathtub edging that has a crease in the middle? I have used it to install a cutting board insert in my kitchen island with great success.

Floyd,

Funny you should mention that! As I stood in the middle of Home Depot this morning I told an employee there what I was trying to do, and she took me to the very same bathtub edging stuff. I came home with 2 rolls and I think it will be perfect.

One problem solved----275,000 to go. The thrill of this reno is waning!
