What does the DOT sticker look like?

We are trying to figure out which sticker on our TT is a DOT sticker? We definitely do not have any that have the initials DOT on them. Is it this one:

Yes Darwin, but is this referring to Canadian Federal requirements or US Federal requirements? Since it does not indicate either, but half is written in French, I think it might be the Canadian requirements...just not certain.

Well you got me there as I totally missed the French.
Was the egg made in Canada? Do you have a USA title?

Here is something to look for:
Look on the lenses of the tail and marker lights to see if they have a DOT reference and do the same for your tires.

If so, I would think the egg is DOT certified based on the sticker and if I was ever asked I would point to the sticker and say, look here, that's the Federal Certification certification and would not offer any information about any other language. Far to often we get ourselves in a mess by offering up information.

I have imported vehicles from Europe and Asia and they were inspected at the port of entry and the inspector Did Not install any kind of sticker on the vehicle stating it was DOT certified.

If it was not DOT certified it would not be allowed out of the Port of Entry. If you could not take it back to the country where it came from, the authorities would cut it up and discard it and then will charge you for all the costs incurred.

This happened over 10 years ago with the Chang Jiang motorcycles that were being imported from China. They were assembled and did not have USA DOT tires and associated items on them. They are now imported in unassembled so you can build them as a kit and install the required DOT items.

So my best guess is: If it is here in the USA and you have a State title on it, then it should be ok.
