What size battery? and other electrical help needed

Ok, so I just bought a 1994 16' Casita SD and the battery is dead. I cannot for the life of me, after searching for a bit on several websites, seem to find out what size battery I need to buy.

Is it simply, the biggest deep cycle you want?

Also, I keep blowing the fuse in my truck for the blinkers when I try and use the 7pin connecter. The fuse doesn't blow until I put the truck in Drive. The trailer came with a converter to 4pin and when I use that, everything works great. I assume its a ground issue somewhere?

If anyone is in the Seattle area and wants to help this newbie out, that would be AWESOME!

I would buy the biggest battery that will fit the space available. Also weight is another important consideration. Generally speaking, bigger is better.

I think the battery box size is a group 24 RV deep cycle.

I that what was also on my Scamp when I go it but was able to squeeze in a group 27 box and battery in the space provided. Upgrading the box was only about $12 as I recall and worth it in order to get the larger battery.

If you buy your battery in a dreadful place like Walmart, be sure to check the date and charge level on the battery you buy. It's not unheard of to buy a dead and totally ruined battery at Walmart or one of those auto parts chain stores, as they don't do anything to maintain them.

Most every town has a battery specialist store to service commercial customers. You'll find your best battery brands and well maintained batteries in these places. I swear by trojan batteries.

Costco is another place to check out... pretty happy with the price and performance of the one I purchased there 4 years ago.

We love Trojan batteries, though they are expensive.

We have bought a couple of Walmart batteries over the years and never have had a problem. We find Walmarts to be handy, they have a no questions asked short term take back policy and they are everywhere. Very valuable for people who travel a lot.
