Wheel lock for theft control?
Has anyone tried one of these?
Seems pretty affordable for advanced peace of mind...

Looks good. I wonder how long it would take a thief to pick or drill out the lock, though.

Wonder how long it would take a thief to remove the locked wheel and replace it with the spare?

I'd think a wheel lock that covers the wheel lug nuts too would be a better idea. Maybe like this:

You always have to cover the nuts.

Yep $25 vs. $140. But you may be protecting something that costs THOUSANDS.
My example was just that. Shopping around you'd find similar wheel protectors and different price points.

All that you can do is delay thieves, make the delay/hassle enough that they move on to the next target.

Have you considered a security alarm? Wireless Driveway Alert & Driveway Alarm System. My neighbor gave me one of those Harbor Freight alarms and it picks up any movement in my driveway.

Pretty sure it would be put away never to be used again in less than 24 hours.

I had one but showed it to friend. He said to give him a sledge and he would remove it.

I've been meaning to ask what folks do to deter theft, both at home and on the road. My little 13' Scamp seems vulnerable. What a drag it would be to have her stolen.

At home the Lil Bigfoot is behind a locked gate, which is also blocked by my hubby's van and there is a motion activated light as well. But I do worry when we go out camping, in less public spaces, and drive off in our TV for various reasons. It would be so easy for someone to just hitch up and drive away...
We do have a padlock on our hitch, but those are easily dealt with by determined thieves.

I'm more concerned about my house being broken into because my trailer is missing from the driveway and there is no car out front. Only solution I've come up with is to not think about it.

I wonder how long it would take for me to forget it is there and start towing?

Thefts on trailers in campgrounds???? WOW Paranoia will get ya. Seriously it just doesn't happen. For one thing there's too many bigger RV that look like that they have something of value. Another most campers (people who camp) kind watch for each other.
While traveling it would be pretty difficult for somebody to steal your trailer while traveling down the road. Even when you stop for various reasons the would be thief knows you'll be back soon.
California and Califorians might be different than the rest of the world.

We are getting a Brahama Lock for our Escape 21. It's about $300.00, but when you consider our FG trailers cost anywhere from $13-35000.00 it cheap insurance. But must say, if a thief really wants the trailer, they're is'nt much that will stop them. But we can make it harder for them. Plus a little piece of mind is priceless. Looks like an ingenious product. But I have to ask the same question: How hard would it be for a thief to use a portable drill to drill out the key lock and open it up?
