[Note: applies to front bathroom models.] When we ran into trouble south of the Trona Pinnacles, it was evident how exposed and perilous a position the factory installed shower pump sits below the trailer.
On one misadventure, after a series of unfortunate events (lack of signs, wrong turns, continually narrowing roads), we found ourselves on a grueling ATV trail with no easy and safe way to turn around.

When we finally arrived at the Pinnacles from the south, we noticed our shower water pump (which hangs down really low below the Scamp) was damaged. After replacing the broken pump, I decided to reposition the pump into a protected recessed area so this type of damage would be much less likely to happen again.

Now we feel much more comfortable driving on uneven roads. Here's a video from last week on a steep descent to cross a creek:
We've driven over a lot of rough terrain since and have never had a problem.
If interested, I wrote a detailed on article on how I did the pump repositioning.

I hope this helps.
