Question Will a Boler fit here?

Hello,

I'm trying to determine if a Boler will fit in the driveway alongside my house.

There is a rain gutter and downspout on the house side, with a fence hard on the outside. The width of the drive is 105 inches (actually it's wider overall, but there's a gas meter in the way), and the highest part of the downspout is 84", sloping down to 81" @ 105" away from the fence.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you!

Our Boler is a 1971, 13' long from rear bumper to front of the tongue and is 6'6" wide at its widest point which is at the belly band.

A Boler is going to be right at 84" tall, maybe a little more, about 80" wide, and about 13' long (the cabin is about 10' long). I'm not clear what the issue is with the rain gutter. A Boler won't fit under an 81" downspout, but if there is 105" clear space between the eave and the fence, that would accommodate the width of the Boler, but not the length. Perhaps a picture?

Length is no problem... it's the width I was worried about, along with fitting it under that rain gutter. (I apologize, I've resized this thing twice and it still appears enormous!)

It is 90 inches from the fence to the corner of the downspout (84" high), so if the Boler is 80" wide I should have 10" (or more, considering the rounded top) to spare.

Does this sound hopeful?

Best,
Ellpea

It looks to me like you'll have no problem. As you say, the rounded shoulders of the Boler are well under the 84" or so maximum height in the middle.

If there isn't much slope to the driveway there, one of these may come in handy to negotiate the trailer in and out of its slot. I use this exact model to park my trailer and you can maneuver on a dime, literally. Just don't try to use one on a slope!

This is great news... thanks for responding with the details I've needed so badly!

Jon, as it happens, we HAVE one of those dollies -- we use it to move our sailboat. And we do have a slope to our driveway, but hubby is an excellent trailer backer, so we'd only need the dolly for fine maneuvering.

Now if we can just agree that a FGRV is the BEST next thing for us to do...

Best,
Ellpea

From the picture of the minivan I'd say you will have no problem. Your minivan is about as wide as my Blazer that we pull our Boler with and the Boler fits perfectly where we used to park the Blazer
