window sealing

Hello everyone. I have a 1978 trillium , which I purchased last year. I have removed the windows. I wonder what would work better, the same material they used when they built the trailer, or silicone.

Thanks for the info on sealing the windows Frederick. I will locate the butyl tape and start resealing the windows. Thinking about taking her off the frame and cleaning it up.
