Wiring an xantrex sw 2000 w

I just bought an xantrex prowatt sw 2000. I already have a generator installed with a transfer switch, I need a diagram in order to connect my power inverter to the breaker box in the RV. So if I don't have the generator running or shore power connected, I want a be able to use my laptop or watch TV WITHOUT going outside and manually connect my inverter. My inverter comes with a in-line transfer switch.

Thank you

Mike

This is what I did with two ATS 301. http://www.parallaxpower.com/ATS/ATS...20BULLETIN.pdf
My system is fully automatic. You could do the same with just DPDT switches.

I am curious what batteries you are using for such a large inverter? Raz

The reason I included the link is that it has installation instructions.

Automatic transfer relay has DPDT connection (Dual Pole - line and ground; Dual Throw - on/on). You could use DPST. ATS benefit is elimination of mixing power inputs even accidental. A few months after wiring there is a possibility of forgetting so built safety logic, such ATS is safer.

I would opt for either fully manual plug in cable or system with built in safety to prevent power inputs mix which would not be good.

Inverter transfer switch wiring

Did you install a 120 volt primary to 24 volt secondary transformer for the DPST and STSP switch. This will eliminate the 120 volt conductor to the main box. 24 volt would be less obtrusive to route from the front of RV to main breaker box and provide a lower voltage for safety
