Wiring new marker lights

Hi All I have used the search engine and can't seem to find an answer to my question. I have to replace some marker lights that were poorly installed on my 5500 Trillium. The ones I removed were wired with two wires, and the only ones I can find for replacement only have one wire. How do I make the proper connection?

If the marker light has only one wire, that's the positive lead. The negative or ground connection is via the attachment screws or studs.

I solder a white ground wire to the lead that goes to the screw mounting. You could also add a ground wire with a ring connector and install it under your mounting screw. But with these fixtures soldering in the ground is the way to go. They now sell the miniature grommet mounted running lights, they have two leads.

Or just buy the right light with two wires. Amazon, eBay, etc. LED for the win.
