Would Like a Fiberglass RV that can sleep 5

I am new to this forum, but have been casually looking for a Scamp layout 7 for the past couple years. Now with the addition of another family member, I am looking a wee bit harder.

I am curious though if anyone knows of any other fiberglass trailers which can sleep 5. It is my wife and I, a 6 year old boy, a 4 year old boy and a newborn little girl (already a little smitten!). So I have some time to grow into this with a front bunk setup and a side dinette type design with my daughter.

We don't want a bathroom.

Any thoughts on other brands out there than just scamp layout 7 that I should consider?

Thanks in advance.

Casita makes “standard” (no bath) versions of their 16’ and 17’ models that can sleep up to 6 (Casita offers both front and side bunks). Problem is they’re even harder to find than Scamp layout 7s.

Fifth wheels excepted, those are the only ones that sleep five or more.

Hello,
I'm looking at fiberglass trailers myself and I'm not sure if this trailer will sleep 5 but take a look at the Bigfoot 25B25FB

Check this on Craigslist Missoula. Looks to be in good condition, and a reasonable price.

Best of luck with your search.

Bigfoot

Hello!
I have a family of 5. The kids are 9,7 and 18 months and we are in an 83 17 ft Bigfoot. It’s a bit tight but we love it. It has a shower bath combo that one could potentially pull and make even more room. The weight is listed at 1875 lb. We have never taken it to a scale but I’d wager it’s about 2200lb.
Good luck on your hunt!

I had a friend facing the same. He made a removable bed for the newborn and set it on the stovetop. Not sure where he stored it during the day.

Escape is now making a E21 NE with the E19 layout, front dinette/bed with a bunk option and rear queen, that should sleep 5...

We drove to Texas last summer and picked up a Casita 17 for our daughter. It sleeps 5 with not bathroom. They are very happy with it as they are outside more than inside when camping. Everyone sleeps great in it. Kids 12, 10, 7. We have an escape 17 but escape doesn't make a camper for 5 unless you go bigger.

Going to pick up my new 2020 Casita Spirit Standard on Monday. No bathroom. Added an outdoor shower.

Purchased to accommodate my growing family, we’re planning to add a third child in the near future. Mine are now 5 and 3.

Only problem with the bunk is the weight rating but I don’t anticipate that being an issue for you for a while.

Will post pictures when we return.

I think (although a bit pricey) armadillo has a 3 bunk option. I think it was on their 13.5' trailer so shouldn't be too heavy either.

Yes, and it’s also available on the slightly larger Backpack model- three stacked bunks in front and a small double bed at the back. But yes, very pricey, and you have to buy new. There’s no real used market for this brand yet.

And here ya go...
https://www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com/...00-cadillac-mi

Funny... The floorplan shown in the ad is actually layout 7 from the Scamp website, but the trailer is definitely a 17' Casita with the same basic plan. Advantages include a wider main rear bed (54" vs. 45') and a flat door. Disadvantages include lower bunk weight limit and heavier total and tongue weights.

The Spirit Standard is fantastic!! I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. Feels much roomier inside then one would think. My kids (5 and 3) love it!!
