13' Sacmp - Twisted metal bars in kitchen

We have a recently acquired 13' Scamp. We took it on our first outing a couple of weeks ago and we love it.

What we don't love is the two twisted metal bars running between sink counter top and upper cabinets. it's very much in the way, and we would like to free up that bit of counter space.

I'm wondering if anyone has removed this piece without any issues, or if anyone knows definitely whether or not it acts as an important structural piece.

Thanks
Stephen

It's an important structural piece. There are a lot of mods that make it look better.

Definitely could look better. They look pretty cheesy to us as is. I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Thanks all.
