13' Scamp Front Bunk Removal for Table Space

I was contacted yesterday by a member (Mary) who wanted to learn more about my mod to the front of my 13' Scamp. Thought I'd share pics with her along with other members on this forum.

She wrote, "I have a 13' standard Scamp and am interested in how others how modified their interiors- especially about removing the front bunks and creating a table space."

I made an executive desk with shelving up front. I know others have turned it into a dinette as well. Anyone else have their mods to share with Mary?

This is inspiring, I really want to turn my front couch space into a dinette area. I see a mod in my future. Curious to see what others have done.

This thread has really inspired me. Unfortunately, I have no carpentry skills or the tools to do this project. Fortunately, I know a guy who lives about 30 min. away who will do this project for me. I just don't know what a fair asking price would be. I absolutely want to pay him fairly for his skill, time and materials. Any idea what a project like this would go for (rough estimate)?

Carpenters here are $50 to $60 an hour. Depending where you are in CA, I would expect it to be more.

13’ Eco mod

Look up Lagun table mount on their website or eBay, etc. mine works great, and opens up the floor space so you aren’t constantly bumping into the gaucho pole.

The table mount pulls out of wall mount so you can still use the front bench as a bed when required.

You will be cutting fiberglass, so be sure you take all safety measures, like a long sleeved jumpsuit and respirator.
