15" Wheel Swap After Lifting Casita

Happy (almost) Spring,

Just installed a lift kit for our 2005 17' Casita and have already purchased new 15" trailer tires. All we need now is a set of 15" wheels. Does anyone have experience with finding substitute replacement wheels that have a center hole large enough for standard #10 Dexter Torflex axle hubs? And (with any luck), wheels that have a bit of chrome sparkle to them? Used or new wheels...either way is OK.

Many thanks in advance for your input!

Tony

Have you checked with Dexter? they may have a source.

Thanks for the quick response, Pam.

No, I haven't, but it occurred to me that the Casita factory might sell new ones for those of us who do such lift and larger wheel upgrades. Mostly I was hoping that there might be used wheels off a car or truck that have the same lug nut and hub hole configuration that I might get locally. I just need to know what manufacturer and/or model vehicle would work as a substitute so that I know what to look for.

Tractor Supply or Northern Tools and they also have rims with tires already mounted. Once you get your rims be sure to have the tires balanced when they are mounted. Also: I suggest you get valve stems that have the metal inside all the way through.

RecStuff.com has a large selection and some pretty good prices. Usually 3 whels and tires is enough for free shipping. I've used them twice and been satisfied.

Try Eastern Marine in De. they have fair prices, good selection and put the wheels/tires on sale about every other month.
