Final picture of the door "wrap"

Here's a picture I snapped on the way to work this morning. The light isn't the best but it still looks Awesome! Laura mentioned that we might have to change Ziggy's name to Tele.

Thetford Curve not working

Well, to be honest, the design of any cassette toilet is almost fool proof so it remains usable and we have used it on our last outing. However, it will no longer flush. The electronics of the flushing mechanism is functioning and you can hear the motor attempt to cycle the flush water but no water is flushed into the bowl. We've been reduced to keeping a bottle of water on hand for manual flushing.

I'm planning on investigative surgery now that the holidays are past. I'll "open" this little baby up on the work bench and figure out just what is failing...might simply be the pick-up line to the reserve tank (hoping) but we'll see.

Love the cassette idea but hate the mechanics of the Curve style. I've looked online for some information regarding trouble-shooting but a cursory investigation didn't reveal any documentation. I did just find an interesting threaded conversation from another group experiencing the same problem and someone was kind enough to document the suggested repair including pictures: http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/forums/f34/thetford-curve-not-flushing-14611.html

Thetford Curve still not working

After carefully examining the pick up hose attached the base of the flushing unit I have been able to determine that the hose is properly connected securely to the bottom of the water pump flush motor.

I have noted the we ordered this unit from Amazon.com on 12/21/2015 and submitted a warranty request to Thetford noting the we were forced to use bottled water to complete our last camping trip in October of 2016, well within the warranty period, if I had made the claim in a timely fashion.

We'll see...waiting.

Thetford Curve: Update

After submitting a warranty claim to Thetford and trading four or five emails, the service rep from Thetford has agreed to replace our Thetford Curve with a complete new unit.

We discussed the trouble shooting and I examined the pump as well as the pickup water supply line. I explained that the problem presented itself during our last camping trip of the summer but that I failed to notify them in a timely fashion, but asked for consideration. After providing our receipt from Amazon, they suggested that they simply replace the unit since there is no service center in Kentucky.

We're pleased with these results and look forward to having our toilet working correctly again for the coming season. I haven't received any instructions about the inoperative unit so I'm assuming that we will have both until they ask for the old one back. I doubt that'll happen, so I may have a spare parts unit or a backup for emergencies. Thanks Thetford, for understanding and being flexible.

I love FGRV! Where else can one get so excited over a toilet! Or argue for so long...

Seriously, I'm glad to hear Thetford stood by their product.

May spring come soon!

Type of paint

Hello,

I noticed in the picture you use rust-oleum primer but I couldn't see what type of paint you guys use. Can you let me know? Also did you roll and tip or just roll?

Your trailer looks awesome by the way! I hope ours looks as good when it's finished!

Thank!

Hi! We used Rustoleum Top Side paint that we purchased on-line from Amazon. Hope this helps! Mostly just rolling. Bill did "tip" a few bubbles but the self-leveling properties of the Top Side paint really worked well and we had very few bubbles.

Good luck!

From Laura, not Bill

Sorry to revive this old thread. Do you recall how many quarts of primer, white and red paint cans were needed?

Thanks
