$250 room AC in Scamp13

I'm new at this, and don't have the money for a roof AC. I tried an 8000BTU room unit (single hose) and Plummer out the range window with insulted tape. In the shade, it brought down 95 degrees to 76 degrees. So far so good....

AC

Slick Idea. I like that way better than a window ac stuck in a window and suct taped with a board stuck under it.

Great install and I bet it is quieter than a roof unit.

Thanks everyone! I haul it in the TV for now, and hookup is just a few minutes work. This was a prototype, and I need to insulate the junction a little better aesthetically. I would love to use posts with wingnuts for attaching the vent, so that may be a winter project.

My "awning" is a 10x12 Big lots special for $70.00, the picnic table is out of the floor of my CRV (comes that was from the factory)....

Yes, I can be cheap!

Would love to see the AC install, but the link doesn't open for me.

Sorry about the first link. I was posting from my phone. BTW, here is the base for the attachment to the AC hose:

Master Flow 10 in. x 4 in. to 6 in. End Register Box-ERB10X4X6 - The Home Depot

We attached it to a flat piece of sheet metal, and used the range window screws to hold it in place. Behind it was some automotive weather stripping, and on top was some insulated HVAC tape.
