Well, it includes the trailer brakes wiring, the charge line, and even back up lights.. all 7 pins assuming you wire them in from the trailer side. However if you want a bigger gauge for the charge line then yes, you will need to and add something.

I went out and looked and found 3 different 7 pin trailer plug "standards".

This one actually shows three different standards. One for utility trailers, one for RVs, one for "heavy duty". It appears that the difference between utility and rv is color wire. I'm going to nominate this one as the gold standard.

If you look out on ebay at least, the 7 wire cable is 14 gauge. Which makes sense for signal wires, but not for power and ground. Sigh.
